We are dedicated to improving the lives of our veterans and communities by creating an environment of hope and unity through grassroots involvement, hard work and honest answers.  We all owe a debt of gratitude to those that serve.  It’s our goal, vision and mission to ensure we serve as the focal point for Heroes and families and act as a conduit for helping agencies that support our Heroes from all generations

We have a bold vision for 2009 that includes the core values listed below.

We promise to work tirelessly to improve conditions in our community and affect positive change in the lives of veterans from all wars. Together WE can do the following:

  1. We affirm the importance of working together as everyday citizens to help those in need and improve our community.
  2. We will work tirelessly and respectfully in all matters effecting disabled/wounded veterans.
  3. We will not profit from our endeavors or allow the interests of a few to affect us all.
  4. We will not waiver in the conviction to help wounded warriors and disabled veterans through charity, hard work, community projects and teamwork without the need or desire for public praise.
  5. We will fight to raise awareness and seek solutions for the issues facing these Heroes.
  6. We will build a budget we can live with and seek out ways to help veterans through time, money and resource donations.
  7. We will establish “coach teams” of citizen volunteers to help Heroes in every state.
  8. We will oppose any efforts to diminish the service and sacrifice of these wounded and disabled Heroes.
  9. We will do this knowing we can all be partners in success with other organizations.  We will seek support from, and offer our support to, any group helping Heroes!
  10. We will be visible, active, in-touch and responsible to the Heroes we help everyday!

The 2009  annual report and 990 will be up soon.

2009 Strat Plan

Grow the organization by 10,000 members and establish chapters in 12 states.  Raise awareness for all vets suffering from PTSD, TBI and career ending injuries.  Formalize the Children’s College Scholarship Fund and establish a formal emergency relief fund for families of deployed members by raising $1,000,000 in 2009.  We will start sub-committees in veterans affairs and medical issues affecting veterans.

We plan to conduct two awareness and fund raising events per month to reach our financial goals.  We will open membership up to all active duty and retired military, thier families and civilian friends that support the efforts of our Heroes with no political affiliation.  We will also accomplish nation-wide press releases, attend networking events in major military cities, host an OIF/OEF Veterans Summit, and ask our state chapter advocates to host events.  Further we will seek out opportunities to partner with sister organizations to assist veterans and thier families.

We will partner with the business community to find veteran friendly employers and business owners looking to hire vets, train vets after separation from the military and support their families while deployed.  We will seek volunteer counselors to support our efforts with PTSD and TBI.

Lastly, we will press elected leaders at all levels to get involved with the issues effecting our Heroes, to support and attend our events and to seek formal hearings with Congress as a means to share information and offer our support to help the wounded and suffering who have defended our great Nation.
