Wounded Heroes Baseball
The Wounded Heroes Baseball Classic was created to give our wounded heroes from all generations an opportunity to play America's favorite past time with legends of Major League Baseball in cities across the country. The Classic puts military heroes against MLB legends in an All-Star game format. The game is an opportunity for the local community to show their support and watch the heroes and legends play their favorite sport in a fun family atmosphere. A portion of the proceeds from each game supports the charities below. This is a great community wide event impacting veterans, kids, and families. Partner with us to hire one veteran and help one child in 2011!
Awareness: The 2011 schedule will serve as a veterans awareness event and national effort to partner with multiple supporting groups and programs. Over 1.9 million have served in Gulf War Era II, of whice 20% of the 25 and under population are unemployed! Local, regional, and national companies are encouraged to attend these events with 1000's of possible career seekers in attendence. Contact us today to join us a sister charity.
Youth Sports: The games will focus on local youth sports programs in public schools and local leagues. A portion of proceeds will go to support these programs, MLB players will speak at a local school, and we will work with programs to help them raise funds. Kids in sports are far more successful, staying in school, off drugs and out of gangs!
